Luís Vaz

Luís Vaz is a seasoned manager, consultant, and professor with nearly 30 years of experience at the nexus of Business, Geopolitics, and Strategy, recently integrating these disciplines with Futures Studies. His extensive career spans diverse business configurations, where he has served as an entrepreneur, manager, and consultant. Luís has held key positions across the private and public sectors, including Head of Communications, Marketing Manager, and Managing Partner, working in both Portugal and Brazil.

Currently, Luís Vaz is the Chief Operating Officer of a technology consulting firm, where he oversees strategic operations and drives organizational management. In academia, he is an Assistant Professor at IPAM, contributing to multiple undergraduate, postgraduate and master programs with expertise in strategy, geopolitics, management and marketing.

Luís Vaz does research in the fields of Security and Defence Studies, holds a MSc in Information Warfare at the Portuguese Military Academy, and a licenciate degree in International Relations. Further complementing his profile, he is certified in Futures Studies from the National School of Public Administration (ENAP) under Brazil’s Ministry of Economy. He is a member of SEDES (Association for Economic and Social Development) and CIIWA (Competitive Intelligence & Information Warfare Association) and has been have been nominated, seconded and approved as an Individual Member of the Django Software Foundation, in recognition of his services and contribution to the Django community.​
