From October 28 to 30, Lisbon will host the 10th Annual Conference of the International Place Branding Association (IPBA), organized by Universidade Europeia and IPAM, in partnership with CETRAD-Europeia. The event will take place at Quinta do Bom Nome and will bring together researchers and professionals from different countries to discuss place branding.
Marking a decade of IPBA conferences, the 2026 edition invites reflection on the evolution of place branding and its role in the positive transformation of regions. The conference will address topics such as sustainability, digital technologies, culture and creativity, public diplomacy, tourism, talent attraction, and investment.
IPAM is playing a significant role in the organization, through faculty members and researchers such as João Freire, chair of the organizing and program committees, as well as Ricardo Abreu and Mafalda Nogueira, who are also part of the event’s scientific and organizational teams.
With this initiative, IPAM reinforces its role in promoting knowledge and research in the fields of marketing and place branding, creating an international space for sharing, debate, and collaboration between academia and professionals.
