"At IPAM we are challenged to think and debate" João Paulo Nascimento, Marketing Management student

24 março 2023

João Paulo Nascimento has a degree in Marketing Management from IPAM Lisbon and is currently Chief Commercial Officer B2C Europe at TOWA Pharmaceutical.

Why did you choose IPAM?

IPAM is the Marketing school in Portugal. It was the pioneering institution in this area and quickly occupied a place of reference, which it has maintained and strengthened. The area of Marketing has evolved a lot in the last 30 years and IPAM has been able to adapt very well to the basic training offered at undergraduate level, but also with various options in postgraduate training.

How has IPAM's training contributed to your becoming the person and professional that you are today?

At IPAM we cannot just expect to learn. We are challenged to think, to debate what we learn and this is a model that stimulates critical thinking, which is fundamental when we integrate ourselves into organisations.

How does teaching at IPAM stand out from other schools that teach Marketing?

IPAM, besides the highly qualified teaching offer, where research plays a central role, we also find an organisation that allows the sharing of knowledge in a network, through the academic and business world, given the numerous national and international partnerships it has with institutions and companies. At IPAM we also find a faculty with experience in the business world, connected to the needs and trends of everyday life which is undoubtedly an added value in the learning model. When a student enters IPAM, he finds a value proposition that guides him from differentiated training to employability solutions.

What would you say to a student who is starting this year the course that they have attended in the past?

As knowledge does not occupy space, I would tell all new students to make good use of this ecosystem of knowledge that is IPAM.
