Conclusions highlight the ability of live music to energize territories.

The concerts performed in Portugal by Pedro Abrunhosa throughout 2025 generated a direct economic impact estimated at around 25 million euros, according to a study carried out by IPAM.

The conclusions highlight the ability of live music to boost territories by attracting visitors and stimulating consumption in sectors such as catering, accommodation, commerce, mobility and leisure. The impact is driven above all by non-resident spectators, who represent more than half of the audience and concentrate the highest levels of spending.

The results show that open-air concerts, which attracted more than 435,000 spectators, had an estimated economic impact of 20 million euros during 2025, with an average spend of 43 euros per spectator. The indoor shows, with around 65,500 spectators, generated approximately 5 million euros, corresponding to an average spend of 55 euros per person.

The analysis, considered unprecedented in the national music industry, is based on 933 valid responses collected from concert-goers in different parts of the country. The study assessed the direct effects of the events on the local economy, taking into account expenses related to food, travel, accommodation, shopping and leisure activities.

According to the data collected, 55% of the spectators surveyed did not live in the city where the concert was taking place, confirming the ability of these events to attract visitors and generate additional revenue for the host territories. Among the spectators who traveled from other places, 95% said they had traveled specifically to attend a Pedro Abrunhosa concert.

The study also highlights the strong social dimension associated with live music. Around 94% of spectators said they attended concerts accompanied, above all by partners, family or friends, boosting collective consumption in restaurants, shops and other local activities.

According to IPAM, the results show that live music shows are playing an increasingly important role not only in the cultural offer, but also as drivers of economic and territorial dynamism.
